The Most Innovative Hotels of 2014: Carlisle Bay Resort
A couple of weeks ago, a list of nominees for the “Most Innovative Guest Experience” at a hotel was published by Virtuoso Life Magazine. To honor the nominees before the winner is announced in September, we’re paying special attention to the five possible champions of the prestigious award. We’re kicking the series off with Carlisle Bay Resort in Antigua, since it’s summer and all.
Carlisle Bay rests on one of Antigua’s 365 beaches and it features Beach and Garden suites, among others, that give amazing views to the white sand beach. The resort offers snorkeling and diving, golf, watersports, and helicopter tours. But that’s not why the Carlisle Bay Resort has been nominated by Virtuoso Life Magazine. The yachting courses offered to hotel guests are what makes this resort so interesting. Trips also include visits to sister island Barbuda on an 82-foot-long catamaran, complete with a private picnic as well as snorkeling among reefs and coves. And if you ever wish to attend the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta, we recommend going during the last days of April.
